The Roses in my yard finally bloomed a full.. They are all on the same vine..

Beautiful color! Don't forget to "dead-head" spent rose blooms, it makes the plant keep blooming.

Thanks for the advice on dead headding the roses...I just wiosh the blooms lasted more than one day.. I am gald I go the pictures when I did becuase they already are falling apart.

They're probably just lasting one day due to the type of rose it is, left on the plant, some will last 5 or 6 days. If you cut and bring them inside they last longer. If you do a cut rose, have a bucket or large pan with cold water, take your scissors and re cut the end under water. Cutting a rose like that makes it suck water up into the stem, air being sucked in causes faster die out. You can also drop a non coated aspirin in the water to make them last longer.

My lilac bush is usually in full bloom but the time baseball season starts. And it snowed Friday, and it's snowing again today. (So much for global warming..)
