I was setting on the edge of my seat while I read this book.

It take sup where the last book "Flowers in the Attic" left off. They youngest brother Cory had died of Arsnic Poisoning, and the two oldest children Chris and Cathy take Cory's twin sister who is also very ill because of Arsnic Poisoning and run away.
While traveling on the bus heading to Florida, they run into this lady who is not able to speak but she manages to make the Buss driver take an alternative rout that will take them to the house where the lady lives with her son the doctor.
The doctor takes the children int his home and puts them through school and raises them as his own. Heeven gets custody of them legally.
Dr paul falls inlove with Cathy and begins a secret relationship with her. After they become ingaged and Cathy is off at ballet school she finds outthat dr. Paul's wife is still alive so she marries Julian another dance student that has been trying ot get Cathy to date him for more than three years.
Cathy and Julian almostmake it to becoming the best, until Cathy's brother Chris is about to graduate and become an M.D. When Cathy goes to the graduation julian decides to replace her in his life and as his dance partner.
After Cathy realizes that she does love Julian and returns home he denies her and breaks her toes so that she can notdance. Chris takes her back to the apartment that she shares with Julian from the hospitla and they waiut for Julian to come home. When she gets a call that her husband Julian has been in a terrible car accident. She gets tot eh hiospital and sets at his side until he later commits suicide because he feels he will not be able to dance again.
Cathy returns to Virginia and finally gets revenge on her mother. it is an awesome breath taking spectial. Not anything I would ever want to happen to me or anybody I know but it was well written into the story.
I was shocked to find out that when Cathy's mother took Cory off to the hospital when he became very ill. She never took him to the hospital, she simply hid him an another hidden room in the attic until his body was discovered many years later by Cathy. Also I was surporised to find that the Grandfather knew all along that the children existed.
Cathy later married Dr. Paul and was with him till the day he died after having a series of Heart Attacks. He left everything to Cathy, who with Chris and her 2 children at her side moved to California and had a huge house built and lived until the end of the book.
You will have to read the book to find out what happens when they go back and visit the graves of their loved ones and to visit their mother who is in a Convelescent Home heavely sedated.

The next book in the series which I will begin reading tonight is called "If There be Thorns"

I've read the whole series and it's my favorite out of all of them. Even as evil as the grandmother was, you will feel sorry for her after you read her story.

This is so true. I am abotu to begin the next series, 'My Sweet Audrina' My mom and sister-in-law say that it is a whole other set of people...I thought it was the same family only later down the line..But I guess I am wrong...Can't wait to find out what happens.

One year ago if anyone would ahve told me that I would be reading for pleasure I would have told them they were crazy..Then I found that it passed the time at work and keeps me out of trouble, so then I got hooked.

My Sweet Audrina is really good, it's been a long time since I read it though. There is only one book with that one. That surprised me as all of her other writings are in series.

I so look forward to reading it.. I wil start it on Sunday night..I mostly read when I am at work now, and I ahve been working so many hours that I do not have much home time when I am awake. and even then I am on multiply.
I was supposed to ahve a three day weekend and I got called at the last minute and I was asked to work the final night of the rodeo so I only had 2 days off. But still that is better than working 19 days straight some days 2 shifts.
I am supposed to get a three day weekend next week.
